NOTE: We now have new altimetry data viewers located at:

http://eddy.colorado.edu/ccar/data_viewer/index

The new website hosts our reanalysis SSH product and our new realtime SSH product. It also hosts MODIS Ocean color, MODIS Sea Surface Temperature and GOES Sea Surface Temperature data. Please start migrating to the new website. We will continue to maintain this page for a brief period of time, but we plan on eventually redirecting traffic from this website to the new website. Thanks!

Welcome to the CCAR Gulf of Mexico Near Real-Time Sea Surface Height Data Viewer. This page allows you to view maps of the sea surface height for the Gulf of Mexico. Maps are produced from Jason, TOPEX/Poseidon (T/P), Geosat Follow-On(GFO), ERS-2 and Envisat altimeter data processed in near real-time, usually within 12 to 36 hours of overflight. An analysis product is based on the latest 10 days of Jason and T/P, and 17 days of GFO and 35 days of ERS-2 and Envisat sampling, if available.  See Satellite Dates for more information.

This page is hosted by the Colorado Center for Astrodynamics Research (CCAR) at the University of Colorado, Boulder
