Welcome to the CCAR Gulf of Mexico SSH/SST Overlay Image Viewer. This page allows you to overlay height data on sea surface temperature data (AVHRR data provided by The Johns Hopkins University Ocean Remote Sensing) for the Gulf of Mexico.

Data only available from August 1, 2002 to present.  There will be days without Johns Hopkins data.  For more information on the AVHRR-SST, follow the link provided above. Only data for dates up to and including the default date (the date displayed in the selection box upon initial loading of the page or the date displayed by clicking the "Reset Values" button) can be viewed.
